Bulging Eyes: Intern Post by Maranda Kilgore

The culture here is so fantastic! Never have I seen a group of people so eager to learn. I taught a biology class the other day and the students piled in on the front row – no one wanted a back seat. Not only this, but there were a few who literally were looking at me with bulging eyes just wanting to soak in all that was said – and believe me, it wasn’t because of my teaching skills! The Kenyans here in Taru who are privileged enough to make it through secondary school are very proud and work harder than the average college student. They take their studies seriously and I’m lucky to be taking part in the wonderful things Kenya Keys is doing for them.
