Welcome Dinner

The second group of interns arrived and with only one night of rest under their belts, we were all invited to a welcoming dinner. The Taru Secondary School and local community leaders hosted the event under lights powered by a diesel generator. Interaction and discussion was warm and enthusiastic as the interns wasted no time in getting to know the local area chief, the school principal, and several teachers. Smiles and warm hearts were the appetizers. Fresh local fruit and cooked rice, complemented the main course of goat stew. We are settling in and are off to a great start! Along with the local leaders, Rinda and Brent expressed great pride and confidence in their welcoming speeches.
